Every school-going child deserves a fair chance at quality education, regardless of social status. This back-to-school season, we are starting a campaign to provide essential school supplies (school kits) to children from migrant worker families and other underprivileged communities attending government schools.
For children of migrant workers and those from underprivileged backgrounds, a new academic year brings a lot of challenges. Without access to basic school supplies — bags, notebooks,
pens, and pencils they begin the academic year at a disadvantage. This lack not only dims their enthusiasm but also impacts their self-esteem and ability to perform in class, pushing their dreams further out of reach. According to the Government of India’s report, approximately 12.6% of students in India drop out of secondary school, most often due to socio-economic hardships.
A simple school kit can change that.
It can give a child the confidence to learn, the pride of being prepared, and the motivation to aim high, setting them on a stronger path toward education and opportunity. Studies have shown that when school supplies are provided to children, classroom participation, school attendance, and classroom preparedness have significantly increased.
Pencils are sharpened, erasers untouched, books neatly bound, and bags zipped up — for migrant children, the start of a new school year can be filled with excitement and hope. They can walk into school with dreams in their hearts and the tools they need to succeed.
Each school kit contains 1 school bag, 1 pencil box, 1 lunch box and 1 water bottle.
We aim to provide 1,393 children from migrant worker families across Bangalore with school kits to start the new academic year with excitement, newness, and confidence.
Every contribution equips a child with all the essential school supplies needed for the academic year. We’ll be running this campaign from May to June, giving us two months to ensure every migrant child starts school feeling prepared and confident.
We invite you to participate in our Back to School Campaign, and this is how you can help us fulfil our goals in curating essential supplies for school children.
1. Donate a school kit Contribute towards school supply kits, including notebooks, pens, uniforms, water bottles, and
more.
2. Buy from Amazon & send it to us! Scan the QR code, directly purchase essential school items from Amazon and send them to us.
3. Donate pre-owned school supplies Donate pre-owned school bags, lunch boxes, stationery, or books that your children or
neighbours don’t use to our office, and help a child have their school essentials.
4. Volunteer to assemble school kits Assemble the kits in your office and be part of something meaningful and team-driven!
Share this campaign with your friends, family, and networks. Every share, every conversation brings us closer to reaching a child who dreams of a better tomorrow. Your support can light the path for a migrant child, opening doors to education, hope, and a
future full of possibilities. Together, let’s build a stronger, more compassionate society — one child, one school kit, one
dream at a time.

Parents shared how their children were more excited to go to school. And the children — their smiles said it all.
